Goalies (male: 2007-2009) can register & attend a one day training at DME Academy in Daytona for the right to earn a spot on our High School National Team. Over the past two years our program has placed many Division 1 & pro players. We practice hard, we play even harder and our team competes with collegiate programs, professional teams in the States and in the highest level of top tournaments.

We are offering a scholarship to attend DME in 2024/25 for one aspiring goalie that has the skills to lead this team from the back! You will live on campus, attend our school for academics and train daily with the team. Join us August 3rd, to see how you stack up! We will select the top goalies that fit our mold for the right to earn a full-ride scholarship at DME academy Daytona.

How do I apply for the DME Goalkeeper training session?

We welcome the best of the best Florida Goalkeepers. Just fill out this form and we will reach out.

What is the deadline for the application?

We will be closing applications on August 1st, 2024

When and where will the training sessions take place?

There will be a group training session that will take place at 08:00 AM at DME Academy. Directions are found here.

What does the $50k full-ride scholarship cover?

The Scholarship will cover 1 year at DME Academy which includes academic placement & boarding.

Contest Rules

Our intention is to find the top goalie in Florida to lead our team. That said, talent at this event must match our expectation. We reserve the right to not select a goalie or ask for further evaluations if needed.

Scholarship is reserved for Florida resident.

Athlete must represent DME the right way ethically and through their actions on campus if selected and allow for our marketing team to cover their journey throughout the year.

What is covered in my scholarship?

Academics, athletic training and games, boarding and meal plan on campus. Uniforms are not covered.

Our elite field house is home to our basketball, volleyball, and performance training areas. With more than 47,000 square feet our professionally maintained facility has the latest training equipment and technology for athletes. Our facility boasts 2 full NBA courts, 5 youth courts, 7 regulation volleyball courts, a performance center, athletic training rooms and a spa.

With 4 sand/beach volleyball courts on site and a 60x40 turf field used for soccer and outdoor performance training, the DME Academy continues to expand. We also have access to 14 beach volleyball courts on Daytona Beach.

Dan is the Co-Founder of DME Academy and head of all basketball operations. He has coached two NBA teams as well as a trio of the most prestigious NCAA Division I programs including Oklahoma, Indiana and Marquette.

Learn More About Dan Panaggio

With decades of NBA experience, Dan is a student of the game. His father Mauro, a legendary coach, taught at all levels for over 50 years. Dan was a standout player for his dad in college where he led his State University of New York at Brockport team to an NCAA Final Four berth as a sophomore. He also left the school as a member of their Hall of Fame, and the leading scorer in school history.

Dan has had tremendous success as a coach over a 40-year career. His teams have won consistently at every level. Professionally, Dan served as head coach of the Quad City Thunder for nine seasons, and owns a career record of 313-191, winning Continental Basketball Association championships in 1994 and 1998. All nine of his teams advanced to the CBA playoffs.

Dan was an assistant coach to Maurice Cheeks with the Portland Trailblazers from 2001 to 2005. Considered one of the top experts in the NBA game when it comes to the triangle offense made popular by Phil Jackson, Dan was brought onboard as an assistant in the Laker organization for four years and has two NBA Championship rings to show for his efforts there.

Dan was named the Chinese NBA coach of the year in 2012 as head coach of Yao Ming’s Shanghai Sharks. After serving a four-year contract Dan was replaced and was named as special advisor in the Phoenix Sun’s organization.
