Halifax Health provides a medical advisory council consisting of 5 members. Physicians and community health managers will meet with DME leadership and advise on all health protocols and provide up to date and newly established injury research.

Halifax Health provides a liaison for injured DME Academy students-athletes.
Halifax Health provides fitness assessments on all incoming DME Academy student-athletes upon request as well as provide nutrition education once per season, per sport.
Halifax Health provides annual Basic Life Saving Skills training for DME staff and coaches as well as make telemedicine services available to DME Academy student-athletes at usual and customary rates.

DME Academy is pleased to welcome University of Florida Health Orthopedist Andrew Hayden, MD, as the directing physician for DME Academy’s board-certified athletic trainers. Together, DME Academy and UF Health – Halifax are improving the lives and performance of DME Academy athletes. UF Health Orthopedics provides expert orthopedic care to athletes of all ages across Florida. Athletes training at the DME Academy can now benefit from the same orthopedic care and training techniques that have supported many star athletes in the state.
