The Volt is a mythical panther designed with striking electric lightning eyes and a tail infused with energy, symbolizing the power, ambition, and forward momentum that define the DME community. The mascot aligns seamlessly with the institution’s signature colors of royal blue and black and embodies the Academy’s core motto, Ignite the Dream.
The part that excites me the most for this new Volts era is the fact that it was a student-driven initiative,” said Dan Panaggio, DME’s co-founder. “The Volt represents far more than a mascot. It captures the spirit, determination, and energy that drive our students and academic community every day.”
A Unified Brand Identity for the Future
The introduction of the Volt strengthens DME Academy’s long-term brand strategy and enhances the student and fan experience across campus. The mascot provides a cohesive symbol that can be incorporated into athletics, marketing, school culture, and community engagement.

- Transformation of the DME Arena into “The Den,” creating an elevated gameday atmosphere
- A unified team identity known as “The Pack”, emphasizing family, teamwork, and pride
- Expanded opportunities for graphics, uniforms, merchandise, signage, and social media storytelling
