From 2022-24, Diomandé was a phenom at DME Academy, and it was clear from the beginning that he possessed the potential to reach the top levels of the game.
But even for the most optimistic, Yan's journey has been nothing short of spectacular.
Born in Abidjan, Diomandé trained at DME Academy from 2022 to 2024 before moving to Spanish LaLiga side CD Leganés in 2025. His performances there led to a transfer to RB Leipzig, where he has already made a number of Bundesliga appearances and scored his first professional goal.
In October of 2025, Yan earned his first call-up to the Ivory Coast National team, in a historic moment for both Diomandé and DME Academy
10.15.2025 - Yan made an unforgettable start to his international career, scoring in each of his first two matches for the Ivory Coast National Team and helping the Elephants secure qualification for their first FIFA World Cup since 2014.
10.3.2025 - Yan Diomandé earned his first call-up to the Ivory Coast Men’s National Soccer Team. The 18-year-old winger, now playing for RB Leipzig in Germany, was selected for the Elephants’ October camp and is eligible for 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Seychelles (October 10) and Kenya (October 14).
5.21.2025 - Diomande’s first goal in La Liga came in the 41st minute of Matchday 35—right foot, center of the box, with no hesitation. The 18-year-old midfielder, a standout from DME Academy in Florida, helped CD Leganés secure a crucial 3–2 win over Espanyol. With just three games left in the season, every point counts in their battle to avoid relegation.
3.31.2025 - Diomande made his professional debut in Spain’s top flight—La Liga—as he suited up for C.D. Leganés against one of the most iconic clubs in the world: Real Madrid.
Sharing the field with global superstars like Kylian Mbappé, Yan didn’t just take part—he stood out.
12.17.2025 - At DME, Yan set the standard for excellence both on and off the field, showing the dedication and drive that define our elite soccer academy.
Now, his journey has taken him to Spain’s premier league, La Liga, where he has signed with C.D. Leganés.
