In addition to their on-field success, DME welcomed Salomon Kidane as the new Boys Soccer Director. Previously, he led the University School at Nova Southeastern University, bringing both experience and leadership to an already competitive environment. With his arrival, DME Soccer strengthens its mission of developing top-level athletes.
The National Boys team kicked off league play with a commanding victory 9-2 against Atletico Orlando controlling possession from the start and capitalizing on scoring opportunities throughout the match.
Meanwhile, the Regional Boys team followed with another strong performance, securing a 8-0 victory against Clay county.
To round out the weekend, the National Girls team secured a victory of their own, completing a perfect start to the season.

Elite Coaching and Training on the Pitch
Their journey began with a tour of DME’s state-of-the-art campus and dorms, followed by high-energy training sessions led by head coaches Kioki Hutchings and Salomon Kidane. The players sharpened their skills through drills, competitive games, and scrimmages. Reflecting on the experience, Coach Salomon said, “It was awesome working with such talented players and seeing how much they love the game.”
The following day, DME’s strength and conditioning coach, Alex Richard, led the team through a session inspired by the rigorous program used by DME’s National Boys Team. The players gained valuable insights into the physical preparation required to perform at an elite level.

Boarding campers will feel right at home in our 18,000 square foot, 80-bed dormitory, which hosts a fully equipped commercial kitchen, large cafeteria, onsite laundry facility, conference room, learning center, outdoor court, two student lounges, and more.

Daytona, FL. The DME Academy’s girls’ soccer team recently competed in the prestigious IMG Showcase, one of the most competitive tournaments that brings together top teams from around the globe. The girls showcased their skills, teamwork, and resilience, finishing the weekend with an impressive second-place standing, just behind IMG.
The defensive unit was the backbone of the team’s success, securing clean sheets in all three matches. Credit goes to the outstanding efforts of our back line and goalkeeper: Bailey Wilson, Sophia Strong, Avonelle Thomas, Payton Robinson, Aubree Hickman, and Krista Hansen. Their discipline, communication, and composure under pressure ensured that no goals were conceded throughout the showcase.
The midfielders also played a crucial role in linking defense to attack, demonstrating exceptional work ethic and creativity. Alexandra Garceau was a standout performer, leading the team with three goals over the weekend. Her composure in front of the net and ability to capitalize on key opportunities were instrumental in the team’s success.
Head Coach Kioki Hutchings reflected on the team’s strong performance, stating, “Even though we finished in second place, there still is a lot to work to do as we make our way into the spring season.”

Daytona, FL. Yan Diomande, a former standout at DME Academy, continues to shine as he advances his soccer career. At DME, Yan set the standard for excellence both on and off the field, showing the dedication and drive that define our elite soccer academy.
Now, his journey has taken him to Spain’s premier league, La Liga, where he has signed with C.D. Leganés.
At DME Academy, Yan’s hard work and talent earned him national recognition. Top Drawer Soccer named him one of the ‘23 Male Players who Dominated in 2023. Additionally, he made his mark in the UPSL Soccer Playoffs by scoring in all six rounds and winning the coveted Playoffs Golden Boot. These achievements reflect the strength of his determination and the quality of our programs.
Yan, an 18-year-old Ivorian striker, now joins the Leganés family with exceptional speed, skill, and vision. As a former U-17 international for the Ivory Coast, he is ready to compete with the best talent in European soccer. His drive and technical abilities will undoubtedly make him a valuable addition to the team.
Reflecting on his path, Yan shared: “I’m very grateful for this opportunity and want to thank everyone involved in making it happen. I’m fully committed and can’t wait to get started.”

Eliuda Drives George Mason’s Success
Since joining the Patriots, James Eliuda has been a key player, contributing two goals, five assists, and a steady presence in midfield. His impact has been pivotal in driving George Mason to a 6-1-1 conference record and clinching the top seed in the A-10 Championships.
Next for Mason
The top-seeded Patriots will host the opening game of the 2024 Atlantic 10 Championships on Friday, Nov. 8, against eighth-seeded La Salle, with the opening kick scheduled for 7 p.m. at George Mason Stadium. This matchup will be a major opportunity for Eliuda and the Patriots to advance in the championship tournament on their home field.

James Eliuda, a DME Academy graduate and sophomore midfielder at George Mason University, is making a strong impact in his second year at the Division I level. Originally from Juba, South Sudan, Eliuda has started all eight games this season. He is playing a key role in the Patriots’ early success.
The 5’11” midfielder has consistently shown his growth and leadership. From his freshman year to now, his work ethic and game awareness have made him a key contributor. Early in the season, Eliuda delivered the game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory over Bucknell. He followed this with another crucial goal against Navy in Annapolis, scoring in the 52nd minute with a precise shot from just outside the six-yard box.
Eliuda’s contributions go beyond scoring. He has logged over 700 minutes this season, providing both offensive and defensive support. His relentless drive has made him indispensable for the Patriots, currently ranked No. 16 in the nation. George Mason’s only loss so far was a close one to Old Dominion. Eliuda remains a key figure in their campaign.

Adrian Biaggi, a proud DME Academy soccer alum, has been making significant strides on the field since his time with us. Currently, Adrian plays for the University of Dayton, a strong NCAA Division I soccer program. Even more exciting, Adrian has earned a starting position in the last two games, solidifying his role as a key contributor to the team’s success.
