About Michael

Michael Main grew up in Deltona and played at DeLand High School. He played on the 16u and 18u USA National teams and went to back to back High School State championship final fours, losing in the championship his senior year. Michael was drafted in the 1st round as the 24th overall pick by the Texas Rangers in the 2007 Major League Baseball draft after being an AFLAC All-American his senior year. He played 7 professional seasons in the Texas Rangers, San Francisco Giants, and Miami Marlins organizations. After his professional baseball career, Michael went straight into youth baseball coaching and started his own academy. He then started the baseball program for DME Academy which is now in its second year. Michael is married with two children and lives in DeLand.
