Through a strategic partnership with DME Academy, Sam is helping athletes that are looking for opportunities in the United States learn about opportunities at DME. With a strong history, rooted in basketball DME Academy is a program on the rise. Recent successes include the #4 pick in the 2022 NBA Draft pick, Keegan Murray, and a top 5, nationally ranked girls high school team that participated in the Dicks National Championship event.

About

DME Academy is an elite, multi-sport training and educational institution designed for student-athletes who are looking to reach their ultimate potential, harness their strengths and achieve their goals. Located in Daytona Beach, Florida, our academy offers a wide variety of programming, from our 6th-12th grade co-ed boarding school and post-grad programs, to year-round camps, tournaments, team events, and collegiate and professional training.

However, the real magic at DME is that our staff and community support all journey's the same. Whether the goal is to play Pro, earn a D1 scholarship, compete at the D2 or D3 level, or something different - we help foster people that want to positively impact the world.

Facilities & Technology

With two full NBA courts, five youth basketball courts, a shooting lab, two weight rooms, a spa and recovery facility and audio/visual center for video analysis, DME has a training facility that competes with most collegiate programs.

Staff

With decades of NBA experience, our hand selected staff is aggregated by legendary coach Dan Panaggio. With years of professional experience our team brings out the best in student-athletes as we continually compete with the best of the best.

Competition

DME student-athletes come to Daytona from across the Globe. Training every day with motivated athletes prepares us for the tough competition that we face on the court. We line up against top programs like IMG Academy & Montverde Academy every year.

Mindfulness Methodology

We believe that a positive & nurturing environment brings out the best in all athletes. Positive words have an encouraging impact on a person's confidence and are vital for healthy development. Our mindfulness methodology is engrained in our program.

Off Court Training

We focus just as much time into the development of our athletes off the court as we do on it. We offer advanced strength and conditioning programs, an elite sports performance facility, mental training sessions & video technology to give an edge to our aspiring student- athletes.

Xceed DME Academy meets all Florida graduation requirements for college acceptance.

Students at Xceed DME can take advantage of Dual Enrollment and earn college credits.

The personalized learning plans are created by the Head of School, parent/guardian, and the student in a collaborative approach.

Student schedules are made to be flexible, based on individual needs.

About our Academic Program

Rigorous Curriculum

Xceed DME offers a full suite of Honors, Advanced, and A.P. classes. To further prepare students for the collegiate level, Xceed DME also offers dual enrollment through online courses at the University of Pittsburgh via Outlier. In addition, we offer SAT/ACT prep courses.

Individualized Instruction

Each Xceed DME student has a personalized learning plan (PLP), designed to meet their individual goals. Our educators provide one-to-one and small group instruction that capitalizes on students’ learning styles and strengths.

Flexible Schedule

Our educational model is designed to provide our student-athletes with ample time for both their academics and their sport, with their practices and conditioning built into their daily schedule.

International Community

Our diverse student body represents more than 25 countries and sets the stage for collaboration and shared learning.

Community Service

At Xceed DME, our graduation requirements include 40 hours of community service. We offer a wide variety of service opportunities, including tutoring and coaching younger kids, participating in beach cleanups and food and clothing drives, and volunteering at our local animal shelter.

Immersion Programs

DME Summer Immersion Programs help our international student-athletes get up to speed in the classroom and the community, preparing them for our rigorous academic curriculum and acclimating them to the DME culture.

“Before coming to DME, we weren’t being taken very seriously because we were always looked at and thought to be on the smaller side,” said Keegan at the Q&A session during the ceremony. “Once we got to DME, I really started to understand how much work I needed to put in to get my game to the next level. DME is great because you will always have the option to get better, whether it be getting shots up whenever you want or getting in the gym at any hour of the day to lift weights at their state-of-the-art facility”.
