Daytona Beach, Fla. – DME Academy alumnus Yan Diomandé has made an unforgettable start to his international career, scoring in each of his first two matches for the Ivory Coast National Team and helping the Elephants secure qualification for their first FIFA World Cup since 2014.
Diomandé, who currently plays for RB Leipzig in Germany’s Bundesliga, made his senior debut on October 10 in a 7–0 win over Seychelles, where he announced himself on the world stage with a stunning left-footed strike into the far corner in the 55th minute. Just four days later, on October 14, Diomandé found the back of the net again, this time with a right-footed rocket from outside the box in a 3–0 victory over Kenya, sealing Ivory Coast’s World Cup berth.
The goals showcase Diomandé’s technical skills, pace, and finishing ability with both feet, cementing his reputation as one of the most exciting young talents in African football.

Daytona Beach, Fla. – The DME Academy High School National Basketball Team tipped off the 2025 season in dominant fashion, going a perfect 3-0 at the prestigious All-American Jamboree in Orlando, Florida. The strong start sets an early tone for what promises to be another standout year for one of the nation’s premier prep basketball programs.
The All-American Jamboree is widely regarded as the largest and most competitive preseason showcase in the country, featuring more than 100 top JUCO and prep teams from across the United States and Canada. Each year, the event attracts hundreds of NCAA Division I coaches and scouts eager to evaluate elite-level talent, making it one of the most heavily attended recruiting stops on the basketball calendar.

Daytona Beach, Fla. – The DME Academy Boys’ Soccer National Team delivered a strong performance at the Orlando City Cup, making an impressive run all the way to the tournament final. DME battled Inter Gainesville to a 2-2 draw in the championship match before ultimately falling in a hard-fought penalty shootout.
The result capped an outstanding weekend of competition that showcased the team’s depth, technical ability, and resilience against elite-level opponents. Notably, DME defeated Inter Gainesville in the previous day’s competition.
The team’s strong showing adds to an already successful stretch for DME Soccer, which remains unbeaten in UPSL play this season. Their only setback came in a competitive 2-1 loss to the Orlando City MLS U-19s, a result that underscored just how far the program has progressed.

Daytona Beach, Fla. – The DME Academy Varsity Baseball Team picked up a hard-fought 6–3 victory over SSEA on Monday (Oct. 13), using a late offensive surge in the fifth inning to secure the win.
With the game tied 3–3, Reito Matsuba delivered the decisive blow, a bases-clearing triple that drove in three runs and put DME ahead for good. The clutch hit capped off a strong offensive frame that also included a bases-loaded walk from Carter Roe, who reached safely earlier in the game with a key single down the left-field line to spark DME’s first rally.
On the mound, Nick Bellamore earned the win with an efficient performance, throwing six innings while allowing only three runs, none of which were earned. He struck out three and walked three, keeping SSEA off balance throughout the afternoon.
Offensively, Brody Meadows and Shiloh Gallimore each collected two hits, while Kaiden Sullivan led the way with two walks. The team drew a total of six walks, showing off a disciplined approach at the plate.
With timely hitting, solid pitching, and strong team chemistry, the Varsity Baseball Team continues to build momentum early in the season as they prepare for a challenging schedule ahead.

Daytona Beach, Fla. – This past weekend (Oct. 4-5), DME Academy hosted its first-ever JUCO Jamboree, welcoming nine teams from across the region for a showcase of top-tier basketball talent. The event drew more than 100 college coaches, with over half representing high-major Division I programs, underscoring the growing national recognition of DME’s basketball excellence.
DME’s National Team delivered a dominant performance, going 2-0 on the weekend with both victories coming by 25 points or more against highly regarded junior college opponents. The strong showing offered an early preview of a team that is quickly earning attention as one of the most competitive programs in the country this season.
The DME Prep Team also made its mark, finishing 1-1 and displaying impressive skill, depth, and resilience against tough competition they’ll encounter throughout the season. Both squads demonstrated the discipline and teamwork that define DME’s approach to player development and program culture.
The inaugural event was organized by Coach Michael Panaggio, whose vision and leadership helped ensure a first-class experience for both athletes and attending college programs.
“It was an unbelievable inaugural JUCO jamboree,” said Coach Panaggio. “It was great visibility, it was great exposure, and it was great competition for our ladies to be able to play college girls.”

Daytona Beach, Fla. – DME Academy alumnus Yan Diomandé has earned his first call-up to the Ivory Coast Men’s National Soccer Team. The 18-year-old winger, now playing for RB Leipzig in Germany, was selected for the Elephants’ October camp and is eligible for 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Seychelles (October 10) and Kenya (October 14).
Born in Abidjan, Diomandé trained at DME Academy from 2022 to 2024 before moving to Spanish LaLiga side CD Leganés in 2025. His performances there led to a transfer to RB Leipzig, where he has already made six Bundesliga appearances and scored his first professional goal.
“He’s a left winger with outstanding speed, can dribble, is very athletic, and can finish,” said Leipzig Managing Director Marcel Schäfer. “He also never gives up the ball and works for the team.”
