DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Former DME Academy standout Joachim Kyei continues to shine on one of the biggest stages in junior college soccer, helping guide Daytona State College to the NJCAA Division I Men’s Soccer National Championship Final. The Falcons will face Indian Hills Community College on Saturday, November 22, at 3 p.m. EST, with a national title on the line.
Daytona State earned its spot in the final with a pair of impressive victories earlier this week. On Tuesday, the Falcons defeated Barton Community College 4–3 in a high-energy quarterfinal match in which Kyei played the full 90 minutes and recorded a crucial assist.
The momentum continued into Thursday’s semifinal, where Daytona State posted a commanding 3–1 win over Mohave College, securing their place in Saturday’s championship match.
Since graduating from DME, Kyei has continued to elevate his game as one of Daytona State’s most influential players, helping push the program to the brink of a national championship. Daytona Beach, Fla. – Ryan Hampton, a 6’7” guard/wing and five-star prospect in the Class of 2027, has been named to the prestigious Naismith High School Boys Player of the Year Watchlist, recognizing the nation’s top high school basketball players.
Hampton, ranked No. 5 nationally in the Class of 2027, joins an elite group of players being recognized for their skill, production, and impact at the highest level of high school competition. Daytona Beach, Fla. – Former DME Academy standout James Eliuda continues to make his mark at the collegiate level, earning First Team All-Conference honors in the Atlantic 10 (A-10) for his outstanding play as a midfielder this season for the George Mason Men’s Soccer Team.
Eliuda, from Juba, South Africa, built upon last year’s success, when he was named to the A-10 Second Team, by emerging as one of the top all-around midfielders in the conference in 2025.
This season, Eliuda finished tied for second on his team in assists (4), third in shots (23), and fourth in both goals (3) and points (10). His consistency and endurance were also key to his team’s success — he started all 15 matches, ranking third in minutes played by a field player (1,297) and playing the full 90 minutes in 12 games.
Among Atlantic 10 leaders, Eliuda ranked top-10 in points (10) and tied for fourth-most assists (4), further solidifying his status as one of the conference’s most impactful and versatile players.
Eliuda’s progression from DME Academy to an all-conference collegiate performer underscores the academy’s commitment to developing athletes who excel at the next level, both technically and mentally. Daytona Beach, Fla. – The DME Academy Boys National Soccer Team put an exclamation point on the weekend on Sunday night with a convincing 3–0 win over Bold City in UPSL Premier Division play.
Leading the way offensively, Emmanuel “Bruno” Okley netted a brace, while Aboubou Haimakoye added a third to seal the victory. The team’s crisp passing and attacking creativity were on full display, with assists coming from Matias Secola, Gabo Vazquez, and Gabe Glatt.
