Daytona Beach, Fla. – Ryan Hampton, a 6’7” guard/wing and five-star prospect in the Class of 2027, has been named to the prestigious Naismith High School Boys Player of the Year Watchlist, recognizing the nation’s top high school basketball players.
Hampton, ranked No. 5 nationally in the Class of 2027, joins an elite group of players being recognized for their skill, production, and impact at the highest level of high school competition. Battle, who is ranked No. 32 nationally in the ESPNW Class of 2026 rankings, has become one of the premier players in the country and a cornerstone of DME Academy’s elite girls basketball program. Daytona Beach, Fla. – Former DME Academy standout James Eliuda continues to make his mark at the collegiate level, earning First Team All-Conference honors in the Atlantic 10 (A-10) for his outstanding play as a midfielder this season for the George Mason Men’s Soccer Team.
Eliuda, from Juba, South Africa, built upon last year’s success, when he was named to the A-10 Second Team, by emerging as one of the top all-around midfielders in the conference in 2025.
This season, Eliuda finished tied for second on his team in assists (4), third in shots (23), and fourth in both goals (3) and points (10). His consistency and endurance were also key to his team’s success — he started all 15 matches, ranking third in minutes played by a field player (1,297) and playing the full 90 minutes in 12 games.
Among Atlantic 10 leaders, Eliuda ranked top-10 in points (10) and tied for fourth-most assists (4), further solidifying his status as one of the conference’s most impactful and versatile players.

Daytona Beach, Fla. – It was a banner week for DME Academy Boys Basketball, as the program combined for an undefeated 11–0 record across all levels of play. From the middle school through the national teams, each squad showcased the depth, talent, and development that define DME basketball.
The High School National Team led the way, going 3–0 behind standout performances from Patrik Birmingham and Ryan Hampton. The team now turns its focus to opening Grind Session Conference play this weekend in Boca Raton, where they’ll look to continue their hot start against some of the nation’s top prep programs.
Meanwhile, the Prep Team added two more wins to their record, finishing the week 2–0 behind impressive leadership and scoring from Luke Melbiczak, who earned DME Player of the Week honors for his standout play.

Daytona Beach, Fla. – DME Academy alum Joachim Kyei delivered a moment of brilliance to help the Daytona State College Falcons clinch the 2025 NJCAA Division I Men’s Soccer Southeast District Championship and secure a spot in the NJCAA National Championship Tournament.
The Falcons defeated USC-Lancaster 2–1 in an intense match that went into double overtime. Kyei, a former DME Academy star, produced the decisive moment of the night, unleashing a stunning strike from 25 yards out to seal the championship for Daytona State and punch their ticket to the national stage.
Since graduating from DME Academy, Kyei has continued to impress at the collegiate level, earning recognition for his creativity, technical ability, and composure under pressure. Daytona Beach, Fla. – The DME Academy Boys National Soccer Team put an exclamation point on the weekend on Sunday night with a convincing 3–0 win over Bold City in UPSL Premier Division play.
Leading the way offensively, Emmanuel “Bruno” Okley netted a brace, while Aboubou Haimakoye added a third to seal the victory. The team’s crisp passing and attacking creativity were on full display, with assists coming from Matias Secola, Gabo Vazquez, and Gabe Glatt.

Daytona Beach, Fla. – Former DME Academy standout Mamadou Billo Diop continues his incredible professional journey, helping lead Colorado Rapids 2 to the MLS NEXT Pro Cup Final after capturing the Western Conference title with a 2–1 victory over Minnesota United FC 2 on Sunday night at DICK’S Sporting Goods Park.
The win marks Colorado Rapids 2’s first Western Conference Championship and secures the club’s first-ever MLS NEXT Pro Cup appearance in its four-year history. Rapids 2 will now face the Eastern Conference champion New York Red Bulls 2 in the 2025 MLS NEXT Pro Cup Final on Saturday, November 8, at 7 p.m. EST, airing live on Apple TV.
Diop, a 2025 DME Academy graduate, has been a key contributor throughout the season, helping power one of the league’s most dynamic attacks.
