About Ignacio

Ignacio was born and raised in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. He started his Basketball career in CB La Salle from the age of 6 until he was 18, then he moved to West Virginia to play and study for Salem University. Ignacio was the second leading scorer and captain of the team during his last 2 years with the tigers. After his career as a player, he was hired as a Graduate Assistant Coach, at the same time he graduated with a Master's degree in Sports Management. After he graduated, he started working with DME as an Assistant Coach for our Post Grad Blue in 2019; during that year we were ranked top #10 in the country for the first time in DME history. After his first year as an assistant coach, Ignacio took the role of the International Recruiter at DME. Ignacio is also part of the Jordanian Basketball Men's National Team; he is the Video Coordinator / Scouting Analyst for the team alongside former DME Head Coach, Wesam Al Sous; who is the Head Coach. Ignacio will participate in the FIBA World Cup 2023 in Manila, Philippines in August 2023.
