Daytona Beach, Fla. – The DME Academy Varsity Baseball team continued its strong fall season over the weekend with an emphatic 16–1 win over Juniata Elite in Game 2 of pool play, finishing the day 1–1.
On the mound, Konosuke Shimizu delivered a commanding performance, tossing five innings with zero walks and six strikeouts to earn the win. Shimizu’s control and composure set the tone early, keeping Juniata’s offense in check from start to finish.
DME’s offense exploded at the plate, with Brody Meadows, Reito Matsuba, Jason Bruce, and Shimizu all collecting multiple hits in the team’s most complete performance of the weekend. The balanced attack and aggressive baserunning helped DME pull away and secure the lopsided victory.
