DME Post Grad National suited up for one of the most anticipated games of the year yesterday against NO. 9 IMG Academy. PG National protected their home court with a victory 85-72.
PG National came out strong in the beginning of the first half, creating a 13 point lead 27-14 with great defensive plays.
The energy on the defensive side was too much for IMG, causing them to make 8 turnovers in the first 10 minutes of the first half.
Coming close to the end of the first half, IMG fought back into the game, cutting the lead down to 4 points 40-36 at halftime.
National started the second half aggressively, going on a 7-0 run, pushing the lead back to 11 points 47-36. Camren Wynter created a storyline for himself scoring 19 of his 27 points in the first half. He led his team with great guard play and energy on both sides of the court, adding a massive energy dunk on the University of Maryland commit Eric Ayala for IMG.
DME closed out the game 85-72 against IMG, with Jatrious Smith adding two massive dunks in his 14 points performance and Tyrese Potoma finishing with 15 points, knocking down 3 three-pointers.
With so many fans and college coaches in appearance, Wynter said “This is what it’s all about, proving yourself to get to the next level,” after the game.
Along with Wynter’s performance, PG National proved a point on both sides of the court closing out a win over IMG.
