A new mode for Marvel Snap has arrived, and it brings a fresh take on the card-battling game’s competitive play. Known as Conquest Mode, it’s an adrenaline-pumping journey that will see players advance through several tiers and unlock rewards along the way. Here’s everything you need to know about it.
As part of this season’s Spider-Verse events, Marvel Snap has introduced a new way for players to duke it out with opponents in its popular card-battling game. The brand-new Conquest Mode offers a different approach to the standard ranked ladder, offering a number of rounds with the same opponent to determine who is truly the best player in the room. In conquest mode marvel snap, players must win consecutive rounds against the same opponent to progress, adding a strategic layer that challenges them to adapt and outsmart their rival across multiple battles.
In this mode, players will begin with the Proving Grounds tier and earn medals for winning matches. These can be used to earn a variety of rewards, including a new tier-exclusive Infinity-framed avatar border. Players can also use gold nuggets to skip the Proving Grounds and enter directly into Silver or Gold tiers if they wish.
However, it’s important to note that players will still be required to win a minimum of three rounds to progress into the next tier and earn their rewards. This helps ensure that the top players aren’t simply able to spend gold nuggets to bypass tiers and quickly climb the rankings.
Besides the coveted Infinity Avatar border, the first reward available to players who win at least three rounds of Conquest mode is an assortment of cards from the Heroic tier, including the new Dracula/Morbius/MODOK deck. These can be purchased in the new Conquest Shop, which will offer a unique set of items each season.
Other prizes that can be earned by winning a minimum of three rounds in the new mode include a Mystery variant of a recently released card, as well as booster packs. The Mystery variant is limited to one purchase, while the Booster Packs can be purchased as many times as you want.
Aside from these, most other items in the shop will require a certain amount of medals to unlock. These can be obtained from playing the mode, as well as from completing weekly challenges and unlocking Infinity tickets.
The new shop will also feature special bundles of Boosters that can be purchased for 250 Medals, which is a better deal than the 35 Boosters that you’ll get for 250 Medals in the regular Booster Shop.
Additionally, Second Dinner has shared a few other changes to Marvel Snap, including improvements to how players acquire cards and earn rewards. These are all due to roll out with next week’s patch, and you can read more about them in the developer’s Summer Game Fest presentation over on Shacknews.
