Stewart Flaherty brings 17 years of NCAA coaching experience across Divisions I, II, and III, plus a NISA national title with the Michigan Stars. After taking over midseason, his Stars posted clean sheets in 12 of 13 games and a flawless playoff run. Flaherty has coached at Dartmouth College, Bates College, and Felician University, developing numerous players who moved on to professional careers. In USL League Two, he spent eight summers with the Portland Phoenix, helping more than 60 players reach the pro level, including MLS veteran Wyatt Omsberg. Most recently in Texas, he guided an expansion team to a 7-4-1 record and helped striker Pato Botello-Faz sign with Union Omaha (USL League One). A qualified sport psychologist, Flaherty consults across 17 sports, including work with UFC fighters and world-class boxers.
