The DME Academy Southwest Florida Soccer Summer Program is designed to help aspiring athletes reach their personal goals through tough competition, a robust practice regimen, position-specific training & unique soccer experiences during the summer "off" months.
We accept highly dedicated players that are looking to stay sharp, get fit and learn in a competitive environment.
This summer program consists of three components training/practice time in the Sarasota area, tournament action (we travel as a group), and an immersive camp week in Daytona.
Three Components to our program
Training Sessions
On average, training/practice sessions will consist of two on-field sessions per week with one additional day per week focused on intense physical workouts. With two weekday evening sessions and one-weekend morning session in the plans, you'll have plenty of time to train with other motivated players. Full training schedule to be published by May 1st.
Tournaments
We are planning two tournaments during the summer months. See details below in May/June.
Intensive Camp (In Daytona)
In August, we'll travel to Daytona for a 1-week camp. With great facilities including air-conditioned indoor turf fields and tough competition, this is a can't miss experience.
Underserved Summer Programming
Unfortunately, competitive soccer programs in the state of Florida take June & July off. In fact, many clubs "wind-down" in April & May and then don't pick back up until the middle of August. We believe that this is an opportunity to stay fresh, get extra touches and compete year-round with other motivated players.
Club Neutral & Elite Coaching
With the best coaches in our area, we have the only soccer training environment your athlete needs. Skill development now, skill development tomorrow, skill development always.
A Winning Mindset
Whether it's taking place during training or in tournament play- having a winning mindset is crucial to success. We practice to win. We play to win. We expect our athletes and their families to share that vision when it comes to their athlete's development.
Pathway
While a tiny % of atheltes will go Pro, there should always be an end goal. Through our strategic partnerships with DME Academy in Daytona, International Development Academy in Spain, the UK, and Italy - we provide unique soccer and education pathways for the aspiring athletes.
The summer program costs $15 dollars per training session. Discounts are available with full summer program packages. Contact us via the form below!
Tournament costs will be divided by the number of participants/atheltes attending.
The summer camp cost at DME in Daytona, taking place in August will cost:
Boarding $499 - regularly $1,250
Non-Boarding $349 - regularly $599
(because of a strategic partnership, prices are greatly reduced)
You get what you put into the training. While we realize that summers can be hectic, we are actively searching for athletes that want to commit to a three-month plan filled with technical, toughness, and game speed play.
All training will take place in the Lakewood Ranch, Bradenton, and Sarasota area. The practice schedule can be found here: https://group.spond.com/HKEUX
Sessions will last between 1.5 and 2.5 hours each!
We follow a specific approach to our training sessions. A typical training session will look like this:
6:00 - 6:20 - Fitness Training
(long-distance running and core work)
6:20 - 6:50 - Technical Training (touch/passing/turning/shooting)
6:50 - 7:10 - Toughness Training
(body contact/shoulder strategy & mental strengthening)
7:10-7:40 - Game Play/Scrimmage
7:40 - 8:00 Pressure (PK's) & Sprint Consequences
There are two simple rules:
Don't be late
Don't be lazy
Both will have fitness training consequences. E.g., you're late or lazy, you run.
We focus on atheltes ranging from the ages of u10-u15.
We will share more information as summer approaches.
